Targeted wage subsidy

The target wage subsidy encourages employers to hire individuals full time, permanently who they would not normally hire in the absence of a subsidy. TEDD may subsidize up to 50% of a negotiated employment duration up to 6 months.

Aboriginal Self-employment Assistance Program (ASEA)

This supporting mechanism offered through TEDD, ASEA will allow you to maintain your EI and part II benefits while operating your business for a negotiated period from the date of approval

Off-Reserve Post Secondary Student Support Program

The objective of the student support program is to provide financial support to enable Off-Reserve Miawpukek First Nations to gain access to post secondary education and to graduate with the qualifications and skills needed to pursue individual careers and to contribute to the achievement of Indian self-government and economic self reliance.

Recently, TEDD has trained staff to offer Employment Counselling to it's clients. The program is designed to help clients who are interested in finding a career and need assistance in either choosing the right career and taking the steps necessary to move in that direction or need assistance in taking the right approach to ensuring the career path they have chosen is the right choice for them. Youth Skills

This program is an internship to support internships with employers that provide youth with skill enhancement and work experience that is required to enter the labour market. This community service program is designed to support the development of work opportunities for youth that face barriers in obtaining employment through participation in community service projects.

First Nations Child Care

This program is a contribution program to the Four Winds Daycare Center located on the reserve. This center provides childcare services to on-reserve members only and occupies up to a maximum of 22 children.
